Geo Car Models

Geo

Geo was a marque of small cars and SUVs marketed by General Motors in the United States, launched in 1989 as a response to the increasing popularity of import vehicles in the compact segment. Aimed at competing with affordable Japanese imports, Geo models were known for their fuel efficiency, reliability, and competitive pricing. The brand was a collaborative effort, with some models being rebadged versions of vehicles from Japanese manufacturers like Toyota and Suzuki. Key models included the Geo Metro, which was celebrated for its exceptional fuel economy, and the Geo Tracker, a small SUV with off-road capabilities. Despite achieving moderate success, the Geo brand was phased out in 1997 as General Motors rebranded these models under the Chevrolet marque, integrating them more closely with its broader lineup of vehicles.
